Antenna Design Curves

Design curves provide antenna engineers with quick methods to obtain a working prototype. The design curves illustrate the trade off's between changing the antenna's parameters i.e while optimising the antenna for one parameter, say gain, bandwidth might be sacrificed.

Below are a number of design curves for a number of antennas, in some cases more than one set of curves for a particular antenna have been developed.

- Dipoles in front of a Reflector Plane (D. Dusabe)

- Dipoles in front of a Reflector Plane (B. Purushothaman)

- Cavity Backed Dipole Antenna

- Simple Yagi Antenna

- Yagi Antenna (NBS design modified by Poynting Innovations)

- Yagi Antenna with Offset Reflectors

- Disk Yagi Antenna

- Patch Driven Yagi Antenna

- Log Periodic Dipole Array

- Dual Band LPDA

- Loaded Broadband Skeletal Antenna (K.H. Chan)

- Loaded Broadband Skeletal Antenna (A. Phillips)

- Inverted F Antenna

- Helical Antenna

- Tapered Helix Antenna (B.Klein)

- Tapered Helix Antenna (D. Starfield)

- Tapered Helix Antenna (B. Whitaker)
